Idaho insurance

Idaho insurance from an agency that actually lives here.

Our office sits on Washington Street in Montpelier. We write auto, home, farm and ranch, business, and life coverage across all 44 Idaho counties.

Idaho is a mix of high desert, mountain valleys, and irrigated farm ground — and premiums move accordingly. A home in Bear Lake County carries a very different wildfire and winter-load profile than one in Ada County, and the carriers that price each one competitively are rarely the same company.

Because we're independent, we're not defending one carrier's rate card. We put your address, vehicles, buildings, and history in front of more than 20 A-rated companies and bring back the options side by side, in plain English.

Idaho's minimum auto liability is 25/50/15 — enough to satisfy the state, rarely enough to protect a house and a retirement account. We start with what you own, then set limits that stand between an accident and your savings.

What Idaho drivers and owners should know

Idaho auto minimums are 25/50/15

$25,000 bodily injury per person, $50,000 per accident, $15,000 property damage. Uninsured motorist coverage is offered and must be rejected in writing — we recommend keeping it.

Wildfire and brush scoring

Carriers score Idaho properties on wildfire risk. Defensible space, roof material, and access road width can change both eligibility and price. We know which carriers stay open in scored areas.

Snow load and freeze losses

Winter claims in eastern Idaho are dominated by frozen pipes and roof collapse. Check that your policy includes water backup and doesn't exclude collapse on outbuildings.

Workers' comp is a private market

Idaho uses a competitive private market with the Idaho State Insurance Fund as one option — meaning we can shop your class code rather than accept a single quote.
